Journal Club

The purpose of Journal Club is to provide an incubatory environment supportive of nursing research. The forum promotes awareness of current research literature; generates research ideas and discussion of Evidence Based Practice.

Journal Club meets the second Wednesday of the month from 0730-0800 and 1200-1230 in the 14 South conference room.

Meeting dates for 2009 are: January 14, 2009; February 11, 2009; March 11, 2009; April 8, 2009; May 13, 2009; June 10, 2009; July 8, 2009; August 12, 2009; September 9, 2009; October 14, 2009;  November 11, 2009; and December 9, 2009. The same information is discussed at both meetings.

The article that will be discussed is available for pick up in the library two weeks before Journal Club.

A continental breakfast is served at the 0730 meeting and a boxed lunch is served at the 1200 meeting. Please come and join us for a lively discussion.

Pediatric Journal Club meets monthly the third Wednesday of the month at 1200 in the 6D conference room. Meeting dates are February 18, 2009; April 15, 2009; June 17, 2009; July 15, 2009; August 19, 2009; September 16, 2009; October 21, 2009; November 18, 2009 and December 16, 2009.

Articles are available in the 6D and 6N break rooms, on the front bulletin boards in the PICU and NICU.

Snacks are served at the Pediatric Journal Club.
